According to people familiar with the transaction, the New York hotel chain is paying $120 million for the 556-room Rosemont hotel, which opened before the financial meltdown in 2008 and ended up in bankruptcy court. CHSP announced yesterday that it is closing the Chicago hotel located at the corner of North Michigan Avenue and South Michigan Street in Chicago's Lincoln Park. It will close in the first quarter of next year, according to a company press release.
